To protect the recycling process, we can only accept 100% white, clean, and dry EPS. Please don’t place the following items in your recycling bags:

  • EPS with dirt, concrete, soil, or food residue
  • Wet or damp EPS
  • EPS with tape, labels, ink, or printing
  • Coloured polystyrene
  • Other foams or plastics (including casings)
  • Cardboard, metal, or foreign objects

Contaminated material cannot be recycled and will need to go to landfill.

Why Clean EPS Recycling Matters

Expanded Polystyrene (EPS) can make a big difference when recycled correctly. By choosing Ecycle Solutions, you’re helping to:

  • Keep bulky EPS out of landfill
  • Lower your disposal costs
  • Support a cleaner, more sustainable future

Clean, uncontaminated EPS ensures that it can be transformed into useful new products, rather than going to waste.

The Impact of Recycling Right

When EPS is prepared correctly, it can be recycled into everyday products such as picture frames, skirting boards, outdoor furniture, decking, and reusable pallets. In 2023/24 alone, Ecycle Solutions recycled over 92,000 cubic metres of EPS – enough to fill the Sydney Cricket Ground – turning waste into useful materials and reducing the demand for new resources.

By keeping your EPS clean, white, and dry, you play a direct role in reducing landfill, lowering environmental impact, and driving a circular economy.
