Rural & Remote Collection Events

In addition to our year-round collection sites (as per the map below), we also hold collection events throughout the year in rural and remote areas of Australia.

These events will be FREE to the public, with no obligation to purchase anything during your visit. All e-waste collected will be recycled as part of NTCRS.

E-waste recycling tips

  • Confirm Drop-Off Details in Advance: Before visiting a drop-off location, we recommend contacting the store to confirm their opening hours and any drop-off requirements. Times and access points vary—some drop-off areas may be located at the rear of the store.
  • Remove Personal Data: Before recycling your old computer, laptop, or device, make sure to back up and erase any personal information. Once dropped off, items cannot be returned, so it’s important to remove data beforehand.
  • Take Out Batteries and Toner Cartridges: To ensure safe processing, please remove any loose batteries, toner cartridges, or ink cartridges. These items often require separate recycling and can’t go through the same process.
  • Check Accepted Items: Make sure your item is eligible for recycling under our program. We accept televisions, printers, computers, computer accessories, and more. Check our website for the full list before heading in.
  • Keep It Dry and Clean: Moisture or contamination can interfere with recycling. If you're storing items before drop-off, keep them in a dry, safe place and remove any packaging or materials that aren’t part of the product
  • Drop Off Responsibly: Use one of our free and convenient drop-off points at participating retailers across Australia. Once dropped off, items become part of the recycling process and cannot be returned, so please double-check before leaving your device.
